NA Engineering Associates Inc. has created an environment for continual improvement of its processes and services and utilizes ISO 9001:2008 as its quality platform. We have successfully implemented QA programs compliant with CSA N286-06 and CSA Z299.1 for its nuclear clients. Quality objectives are established and reviewed during ongoing management reviews of the quality system.
In 2009, NA Engineering Associates Inc. successfully implemented a program compliant with CSA N286.2 “Design Quality Assurance for Nuclear Power Plants”. We were audited by CANPAC (CANDU Procurement Audit Committee) in May 2009 and received our certification for two of our locations in September 2009. Subsequently, NA Engineering Associates Inc. was audited to CSA Z299.1 by CANPAC in August 2012. This is the top quality level in the hierarchy of the Z299 series and provides our nuclear clients with the assurance that our firm has made the commitment to conducting design work in this industry sector. In 2014, we upgraded our program to be compliant with CSA N286-05.
We offer to our nuclear Suppliers and Plant Operators this program, which is supplemental to our base ISO 9001:2008 Quality Program. It may also be requested by any Client who is seeking additional scrutiny and verification activities for complex or sensitive design work.
