Arden Park Hotel

NA Engineering Associates Inc. was selected to be the structural and civil engineer consultant for a luxury, five-storey hotel located at the corner of Ontario Street and Romeo Street. Previously this location was occupied by a furniture factory. The Arden Park Hotel is a luxury 81 room Hotel with restaurant, bar and banquet facilities. A tight budget, demanding construction schedule and large open areas on the main level put significant demands on the structural system selected for the building. Precast hollow core slabs, a 65 foot engineered steel truss installed to accommodate the space requirements of the banquet hall, concrete wall beams at the second floor, and masonry shear walls were all incorporated in the final structural design. An indoor swimming pool on the ground floor adds to the style. Since opening in October of 1999, the Arden Park Hotel has been the recipient of numerous compliments.
