A parking lot in the downtown core of Stratford formerly occupied by several commercial operations was proposed for development of a new, 5-storey commercial and residential building. A Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment identified the past uses of the property and the potential for any soil contamination. A Phase 2 ESA began with a soil sampling program conducted by drilling boreholes at several locations on the site. A Phase 3 ESA program supervised and verified the removal of a small amount of soil identified as exceeding the current MOE standards.
