At a Glance: Support for Roof Replacement Project

In spite of a comprehensive program to maintain and upgrade the roofs at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in London on Grosvenor Street, there were a few isolated roof areas where leaks had been reported. NA Engineering Associates Inc. was retained to review roof areas in Zones B, D & F and provided St. Joseph’s Health Care with recommendations regarding repair or replacement. The results of this review ultimately formed the basis for a roof replacement project, which our firm supported with tender documents, specifications, and field review.

The project had a compressed schedule, which required that re-roofing take place throughout the winter months. Our firm selected appropriate materials for working at this time of the year. We also scheduled installation and other activities related to the new roofing system in order to minimize interruptions within a fully-operational health care facility.

NA Engineering Associates Inc. undertook regular site throughout the construction work.  Inclement weather provided a number of challenges that were dealt with throughout the project and ultimately resolved.

St. Joseph’s Health Care is made up of several different facilities located in London and St. Thomas. The Grosvenor Street site is the largest and has gone through extensive reconfigurations, renovations and other updates over the years.
