New Hotel Development Phase 1, 2 & 3 Environmental Site Assessment

Project Location: Stratford, Ontario

The Arden Park Hotel is located at 552 Ontario Street, Stratford, Ontario. A property in the City of Stratford formerly occupied by a furniture manufacturing company was proposed to be developed as a new 5-storey hotel.

A Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment identified the past uses of the property and researched the types of substances associated with the property’s past uses, as well as researched the uses of neighboring properties.

A Phase 2 ESA began with a soil-sampling program conducted by drilling boreholes at several locations on the site.

A Phase 3 ESA program supervised and verified the removal of a small amount of soil identified as exceeding the current MOE standards.

The property has been successfully remediated and is now into its next life as successful commercial property.
